Children aged four to twelve can pick up a special free bag at the reception desk. The bag contains a map, fun and instructive assignments and craft kits to help the children discover the museum. You can also take part in one of the monthly creative workshops or else celebrate your birthday in the AAMU.

Interesting tests are carried out at Sonnenborgh and it will fascinate young and old. There are special star-gazing evenings in the school holidays and you can celebrate your birthday by going on a ‘Journey through Time’ or by taking an ‘Astronaut’s course’. There is a Young People’s Astronomy Course for children from eight to thirteen years of age.

Works by artist Dick Bruna are the main focus in the dick bruna huis. Not only are the famous drawings for his children’s books on display, but also book jacket designs and posters. The exhibition includes games for children to play. What’s more, there are explanations of work by Dick Bruna at children’s height.
