How about organising an event in the midst of gold, old money, religious habits, jewels of the steam age, haute couture or street organs? The ten buildings affiliated with Utrecht museums offer a wide range of conference locations for small groups as well as groups up to 3,000 people. All these locations are situated in historic buildings and are either in the medieval heart of Utrecht or within walking distance of it. AAMU, museum of contemporary Aboriginal art 

Capacity:  5 to 75 people

The museum has facilities for guests during and after opening hours. The options vary from workshops, meetings, lectures and training sessions to drinks and nibbles, receptions or a dinner. You can make use of an auditorium, a multifunctional room with presentation equipment and the conservatory. You can expand your activity with a guided tour or a didgeridoo workshop.

Centraal Museum 

Capacity: 10 to 200 people

The museum has a very broad range of rooms available to suit each type of event, whether drinks and nibbles, a sit-down dinner or the presentation of a product. If you would like more information or a cost estimate, please get in touch with the catering and events department.

dick bruna huis 

Would you like to celebrate your birthday in the dick bruna huis? You can! Then you can learn all about miffy, her friends and her friend barbara. She has a dressing-up chest that only opens when it’s your birthday. You can dress up and play an exciting game. And eat tasty pancakes afterwards!

The Dom Tower 

Capacity: 5 to 150 people

In the Dom Tower, at a height of eleven metres, you will find the Chapel of St. Michael, which once was the private chapel of the Bishop of Utrecht. Now you can hold a reception here in unique and typically Utrecht-style surroundings. You will also find the Van Heukelom Hall in the Reception building, in the style of what is known as the Amsterdam School.

Money Museum / Geldmuseum 

Capacity 5 to 150 people

What does money do to people? And what do people do with money?

These questions are answered in the multimedia presentation on money, the culture of money and behaviour related to money in the Money museum. The museum has several activities on offer, temporary exhibitions and educational programmes for primary and secondary schools and it is housed in the monumental building of the Royal Dutch Mint (Rijks Munt), which is where all Dutch coins have been struck since 1911.

The Utrecht Archives 

Capacity: 25 to 500 people

You can find the monumental building of the Utrecht Archives close to the Dom. The various rooms include an auditorium, an ‘educatorium’, a room for study and a film theatre, any one of which will give a meeting or reception that extra special feel. The rooms are equipped with the latest technological infrastructure and, what’s more, guests can stay in the hotel.

Museum Catharijneconvent 

Capacity: 2 to 150 people

Art both past and present representing Christianity in the Netherlands in a beautiful medieval cloister. Come and experience the wealth of this fascinating history. You can hold a meeting or have a dinner party at this unique location in one of the various rooms; each has its own character.

Museum Speelklok 

Capacity: 10 to 500 people

Museum Speelklok is a very special venue to throw a party, have drinks and nibbles, hold a wedding reception, close a conference as well as for receiving business associations. Why not try a walking dinner through the museum, or hold a wedding ceremony, or even have high tea in the Transept room, where a live demonstration of the instruments will charge the atmosphere.

Railway Museum 

Capacity: 20 to 3000 people

From opulence to third class; the Railway museum will give you a tailor-made offer. The choice is great: the station hall, platform, authentic goods depot, waiting rooms, main rooms and a theatre.

Sonnenborgh – museum & observatory 

Capacity: 10 to 120 people

This unique location is full of atmosphere and just right for receptions, meetings, presentations or conferences. Moreover, it is the most sought-after wedding location in Utrecht. Large groups can be accommodated in the old courtyard, which is a very special room with a glass ceiling. Smaller groups can use the library and the nineteenth-century lecture room.

Universiteitsmuseum / University museum
